The Bouncer

The Bouncer is an authentication API based on JWT that allows users to create accounts using email and password or third-party authentication providers such as Google. The API also supports role-based access control (RBAC) with router-based privileges, including wildcard privileges for flexible access management. Additionally, it incorporates a custom authentication plugin for the Kong API Gateway, enhancing security and access control.

The Keg

The KEG is a GTFS-based API designed for efficient fetching and management of GTFS data for a real-time public transport tracking app. It uses a PostgreSQL database for data storage and integrates OpenTripPlanner to help users find optimal trips. Authentication is handled by The Bouncer API, meaning Keg relies on it and does not require project-specific authentication implementations.
